According to history, bees have captured humankind's attention since 15,000 years ago. There are many kinds of bees worldwide but there are all called the Hymenoptera which means as adults they have two pairs of membrane-like wings that are usually clear in colour. They are almost quite hairy. The hairs are branched like feathers to transport pollen grains from flower to flower. The most common type of bees is the Honey Bees where their duties are to produce honey, pollen and royal jelly and pollination.

Honey Bees, like other social insects, show "division of labour" whereby different workers specialize on different tasks. Bees are divided into three groups such as the queens, males and the "workers". Only the queen bees have a stinger, modified through evolutionary history from and egg-laying tube - the oviporitor. The stinger is also a defensive weapon.

Honey bees take 21 days to develop from eggs to adults. The queen can lay as many as 1,500 eggs a day, large numbers of bees can be obtained easily. The bees usually form a colony. Therefore, the daily routine will be divided according to each of the members in the colony. Where, the queen's will be responsible for the laying of eggs and the workers will pollinate flowering plants. Without pollination, the world would be a very dull, less colourful place in which to live. Therefore, how important is a role of a bee!!
